1. Who We Are

GrantRadar ("we," "us," or "our") operates grantradarapp.com, a grant research and matching tool for real estate developers in Michigan and Ohio. We are a research tool only and do not provide legal or financial advice.

2. Information We Collect

Project Scan Data

When you run a scan, we collect the project details you provide — including location, project type, size, use, timeline, historic status, and other characteristics. This information is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is used solely to generate your grant match results.

Payment Information

If you subscribe to Navigator or Studio, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, bank account, or billing details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

Email Address

If you submit your email address through any form on our site, we collect and store it for the purpose of sending grant alerts and product updates. We do not sell your email address to third parties.

Usage Data

We collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used to monitor service performance and diagnose technical issues.

We use a single functional cookie (gr_nav) to remember your subscription status for one year. This cookie does not track you across other websites. See our Cookie Policy below for details.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate GrantRadar:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. Stripe may collect and process your payment information under their own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Vercel — website hosting and serverless functions. Vercel processes server requests and logs under their privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Anthropic — AI-powered content generation for our research articles. No personal user data is shared with Anthropic.

5. Cookie Policy

We use one cookie:

gr_nav — set when you complete a subscription payment. Stores your subscriber status so you don't need to re-verify on each visit. Expires after 1 year. This cookie is strictly functional and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics tracking cookies, or third-party marketing cookies. You may clear this cookie at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will require you to verify your subscription again on next visit.

6. Data Retention

Scan data is stored in your browser's localStorage and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Email addresses are retained until you request deletion. Payment records are retained as required by applicable law and Stripe's data retention policies. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of marketing communications at any time
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (EU/UK residents)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of GrantRadar after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
